Jennifer is a native of Chesapeake Va. She graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1995. She has lived in Camden for 20 years with her husband, two sons, and two labs! Service to the community has always been important to her. She serves on numerous boards and commissions in the area including the board of directors for Food Bank of the Albemarle, Boys and Girls Club, Albermarle Area Association of REALTORS, and the College of the Albemarle Foundation. She was recognized for her community work by being named one of the Elizabeth City Area Chamber of Commerce Women of Excellence in 2016. After spending more than a decade in the corporate world, she decided to leave and open her own business with her husband. Once she got her business successfully off the ground Jennifer decided to pursue her lifelong true passion, real estate. She bought her first rental property at age 23 and has been in love with real estate ever since. She became a broker with the company in 2019. Jennifer loves working with first-time buyers. She especially likes being able to answer their questions and truly educating them about and helping them navigate the whole process from signing the contract, through all the inspections, securing financing, all the way to the closing table. Someone you can trust!

Buying a home from across the country could have been stressful, but thanks to Alex, the whole process felt surprisingly easy. We were in different time zones, bought our home completely sight unseen, and even closed while we were on the road—and somehow everything went smoothly! The biggest thing for us was trust. Highest Recommendation for Mel Powell!

Mel was absolutely fantastic to work with. My wife and I bought our first home in Camden, a 1975 brick ranch house that needed lots of love. Mel advocated for us extremely well and through negotiations after multiple inspections we were able to secure a brand new septic installation, brand new hvac system, updated wiring and breaker panel, and much more. He was very easy to get in touch with and made routine visits to the property when needed. We are so in love with our home and Mel was instrumental in getting the deal secured. He worked with executors to clear a false claim on the house after a relative passed and also ensured our new septic was built to support a 3bed house which was our plan to upgrade it from 2bed to 3. As an Active duty USCG member stationed in Ecity I cannot recommend Mel enough! All the best

Incredible Agent willing to go the extra mile

Lauren and I first worked together when I built the home that we just sold, and after such a great experience, choosing her again to sell it was an easy decision. Looking back, I'm so glad I did. Lauren and I went through the relocation process for my work together, and she guided me through every step from start to finish. I truly couldn't be happier with everything she did to help me sell my home. The relocation company made the process far more difficult than it needed to be, but Lauren stayed on top of them every step of the way. She consistently advocated for me, kept the pressure on when things stalled, and always kept me informed about what was happening. She was incredibly responsive, and whenever an issue came up, she already had a plan to resolve it. My buyers were first-time homebuyers and requested several small repairs before closing. Lauren handled all of the coordination with the contractors, making the entire process effortless for me. All I had to do was let the contractor in and write the check. She took so much stress off my shoulders and made what could have been an overwhelming experience feel manageable. I would recommend Lauren without hesitation to anyone buying or selling a home. Her professionalism, communication, and dedication made all the difference, and I'm incredibly grateful for everything she did.

Supportive and Flexible

Erin and her team did an amazing job setting me up for success with selling my home, especially being a first time home owner and seller. Erin put my mind at ease and made the process as stress free as possible.
