2009 - 2010 Fox River Alliance - Reversed an Illinois Commerce Commission ruling saving the Fox River, The Wintering Bald Eagle's, & Sky Dive Chicago from destruction by preventing installation of 138,000 volt transmission lines.
2001 - Present Illinois Audubon Society - (Friends of Plum Island 2001- 2003)
Helped Illinois Audubon Society acquire Plum Island in the Illinois River across from Starved Rock State Park and create a wildlife refuge on the island thus preserving the winter roost /hunting ground of the Bald Eagle
1990 Recognized by Senate Resolution No. 922 offered by Senator Patrick D. Welch and adopted by the Eighty Sixth General Assembly for work and leadership in dealing with protecting and preserving our environment.

Helped organize La Salle County grass roots effort to defeat proposed hazardous waste landfill. Instrumental in promoting the clean up of Luminous Process radioactive sites in Ottawa. Represented the organization on the La Salle county Solid Waste Advisory Group to the La Salle County Solid Waste Planning Committee. 1987 Vice President, 1988- 1992 President, 1992 - 1995 Executive Director.
1984 - Present Citizens Utility Board (CUB) Charter member state wide consumer organization. Elected to represent the 14th Congressional District on the board of directors. (1992- 93 President)
1983 -1984 Participated in concept plan and promoted successful legislation which created the Illinois Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor.
