That’s right! There’s two ways to get reviews on your RateMyAgent Profile. Once you’ve claimed your profile and checked your listings, you’re ready to either REQUEST a review or POST an existing review.
This blog post is all about sending requests to your buyers and sellers to have them write you a review.
To find out about posting existing reviews click here.
RateMyAgent gives you complete control over your reviews. Your buyers and sellers can only write you a review if you send them a request through our platform. RateMyAgent doesn’t let just anyone write a review, putting you in the driver’s seat.
Once you are in the ‘Listings’ section of your dashboard (see Listings in the left hand menu), you’ll see your properties.
Find the property you want to request a review for and click ‘CONFIRM RESULT` or REPORT RESULT’. Add the price and sale date to complete the listing data.
Note: Some listings may appear as ‘Ended’. This means the listing is waiting for confirmation that it has been sold. If you’ve recently sold this property simply confirm tyhe sale date and price. You’ll then be able to request a review.
If you can’t find a listing check out our article on missing listings.
Once the sale result has been Reported/Confirmed you will be prompted to ‘REQUEST NEW REVIEW’.
Simply fill in your seller or buyer’s contact details and write a brief message and click ‘Request Review’. You can preview the email that will be sent to your client by clicking ‘Preview Review’. (Alternatively click ‘Not Now’ and the listing will be moved into ‘Confirmed Results’ ready to request a review at anytime.)
Note: to post an existing review, simply click on the Post Existing Review tab. For further help head to this article about Posting Existing Reviews.
That’s it.
Your seller or buyer will receive an email asking them to post a review. They won’t need to log in or register, they simply click the green button ‘Click here to write a review’ and complete the review form.
Note: If your customer doesn’t leave a review straight away we’ll remind them once a week for six weeks after the initial request. They have the option to cancel this by ticking ‘No thanks. Don’t remind me again’.
Top Tip: Let your client know that they’ll be an email coming from RateMyAgent. Let them know it’s free to review you, and that their feedback is important to you as it will help other sellers select the right agent.

Once a review has been posted you’ll receive a notification email to let you know. You now have a verified review to be shared through social media, through Agent Promoter or any other way you choose.
Remember, this is only one of two ways of getting reviews for your sold listings. Check out our other blog post about manually uploading reviews here.
