You’ve sold another property – congratulations! Now you can ask your client for that all-important review and boost your ranking on ratemyagent.com. A few simple steps is all it takes.
If you’ve already found and claimed your profile you’ll likely have seen some ended listings in your dashboard. This article will explain each of the different statuses; sold, active and ended, so you can maximise your review opportunities.
ACTIVE LISTINGS – a listing for a property that hasn’t yet been sold or withdrawn from the market.
When a property is listed as active and you sell it, simply click the “Report results” button. Tell us the sale date, sale price and (if relevant) the name of the buyer’s agent, and we will automatically update its status to “sold”.

SOLD LISTINGS
Through gathering publicly available information, ratemyagent.com knows that you’ve sold the property – but before you can request a client review, you’ll need to confirm whether the result on ratemyagent.com is correct. Just click the “Confirm result” button, and we’ll do the rest.

ENDED LISTINGS
Ratemyagent.com receives all its active listings through ListHub. It’s a great service, but there are a few information gaps that ratemyagent.com needs to fill so we can ensure the listing continues to work for you.
ListHub tells ratemyagent.com that a property is no longer on the market – but not when the property has been sold. (The owner may have withdrawn the property from the market, for example, but ListHub doesn’t distinguish between a property that’s been withdrawn and one that’s been sold.) And if the property has been sold the price is not disclosed.
Because it’s unknown whether the property has been sold or how much it was sold for, we classify it as an “Ended” listing.
Providing a few basic details will ensure that your ended listings move to the coveted “sold” status – making it visible on the public end of the site. Feeding your listings to your profile through ListHub, updating them from “ended” to “sold”, could boost your ratemyagent.com ranking by as much as 100 per cent!
Go into your profile and view the “ended” listings. Then, simply record whether the property was sold, the sale price, whether a buyer’s agent was involved, and that agent’s name.
All your ended listings will upgrade to the “sold” status. You’ll see an immediate boost in your profile ranking – and your visibility on ratemyagent.com.
If you’ve claimed your profile already:
Ended listings don’t appear on the publicly visible part of ratemyagent.com. Potential clients can see how many active listings you have, and how many properties you’ve sold – but they don’t know how many of your listings are in this ‘in between’ stage, where the campaign has ended but the result is unknown.
It’s your responsibility to update ended listings – but as always, ratemyagent.com is here to help.
Each Monday, we’ll email you about your profile status. We’ll include listings that have moved from “active” to “ended”, and remind you to upgrade them to “sold”.
This way, you’ll know exactly how many of your listings are hiding away from the public, just waiting to be updated and brought into the light where they belong.
By keeping your listings up-to-date, you’ll not only maintain the strongest possible presence in the local market, but ensure that potential sellers always have your latest available sales record. This way, they can make an informed decision about whether you’re the right agent for them.
